Bombay Stores – the UK’s Largest Asian Department Store

The Asian community in Bradford is an integral part of the city’s life and culture. It is not surprising therefore that the UK’s largest Asian department store is based there, in the shape of Bombay Stores. This respected shopping emporium sells a dazzling variety of clothes, shoes and accessories, and is known for offering competitive prices.

Bombay Stores stocks all the latest Asian styles, covering everything from ladies fashions and menswear, children’s clothes, footwear, handbags and jewellery, to fabrics, haberdashery and decorative tableware. The history of the store dates back to 1967 and it has been at the forefront of Asian fashion for over 40 years. The original shop was on Great Horton Road before moving to its current premises in the spacious Bombay Buildings. Customers are spoilt for choice; whether it is everyday clothes or something spectacular for important occasions, with bridal wear being a speciality. Great bargains re to be had in the regular sales held by the store; a delivery service is available.

Bombay Stores is located on Shearbridge Road, close to the University of Bradford main campus. The store is open between 10am and 7pm Monday to Friday, extended to 7:30pm on Saturday and 12pm to 6pm on Sundays. As well as a strong local following, Bombay Stores is known throughout the UK and offers an online mail-order service through its website for those unable to visit the store in person.
