Village men have taken their clothes off for the second year in a row to produce a cheeky naked calendar for charity.
The Downe Trousers 2012 calendar has been produced by residents in the village of Downe, on the outskirts of Bromley.
The men have followed in the footsteps of the famous WI women by taking their clothes off and being photographed with a few strategically placed props.
All money raised from the calendar will go to Diabetes UK, in memory of 16-year-old Peter Herd, who died in 2010. Peter was the nephew of one of the calendar organisers Robert Herd.
It is the second time the men have produced a cheeky calendar. The first calendar was brought out in 2011 to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. The calendar raised a total of £2,950 and paid for five nebulisers for children.
Kay Ford, a barmaid at the George and Dragon pub in Downe, said: “Last year while we were putting the first Downe Trousers calendar together in memory of my sister, Natalie, Robert Herd’s nephew, Peter Herd, had a seizure and died very suddenly aged just 16.
“Even though it was a very difficult period for him, Robert found the time and energy to keep working on the layout and made sure we got the artwork to the printers on time. We couldn’t have done it without him last year and we agreed we should raise money in Peter’s name this year.”
The calendars can be purchased from the George and Dragon pub and a number of other businesses in the village.
