World-famous rescue dog Mr Bojangles has made a full recovery after spending months wearing pyjamas due to a serious skin condition. The dog, who hit the national headlines last year after being taken in by the Impawtant Pups Rescue Centre, in Stapenhill, is now fit and healthy and looking for a new home.

A Burton band are hoping to hit the big time after being chosen to play at a Noel Gallagher party. The band Phoenix Salvation, who only starting playing gigs this year, have been selected to play at Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Bird’s aftershow party at the Old Carling Academy in Birmingham later in the year.

Students are Wembley ball boys

Talented students appeared before an audience of 92,000 at Wembley Stadium after being picked as ball boys for a big match. The 15 pupils of The de Ferrers Academy, in Burton upon Trent, were chosen for the role at the Carling Cup Liverpool v Cardiff match at the end of February.
