Outdoor Space in Cambridge

The outdoor space in Cambridge is just as much of a tourist attraction as the buildings and museums. The most famous of these is known as “The Backs” which is simply the backs of the colleges overlooking the river. The best way to see these is by boat, and the flowers growing in this area make it a great view.

There is no shortage of spooky tales to be heard on the streets of Cambridge at night. Tourists who are brave enough have the chance to hear scary stories and visit some of the spots where ghosts have been reportedly seen. There are many evening ghost tours on offer and some of these include a ride along the river in a candlelit punt – not for the faint-hearted.
