Time is running out if you want to take part in the J’s Hospice annual event.
The event sees cyclists have the option to ride15, 35 or 50 miles through the Essex countryside to help improve the lives of others. All the routes start and finish in Chelmsford.
The ride offers a wonderful course through picturesque scenery.
It is being supported by Martin and Co Letting Agents, based in Dukes Street. One of the many cyclists taking part is Laura Cranfield, a property manager at the branch.
She said: “The company has chosen to support J’s for the year and I saw the ride on the J’s website”.
“I’m not a keen cyclist and only really cycle with the kids but I wanted to help what is a really great cause”.
“I have dragged my husband Matthew into it and we are cycling together and looking forward to it.”
33 year old Mrs Cranfield, has opted to do the 15 mile route with her husband. They are working to try and raise as much money as they can for the hospice.
Director of fundraising for hospice, Sue Upton, said: “We are so grateful to all the staff at Martin and Co for the fantastic support they are giving The J’s, through taking part in and sponsoring our events, and by making a donation of £25 to The J’s for every new let and managed instruction they receive this year. “This fantastic support will be helping young adults with life limiting conditions and their families have the care and support they very much need.
“Pedal for The J’s will be a fun and exciting day out with different routes to suit different levels of fitness and cycling ability, so there is something to suit everyone.”
You can register online by visiting www.thejshospice.org.uk or you can register on the day. The races will start at Admirals Park, Chelmsford, between 8am and 11am.
