A shop full of designer clothes and new fashion ranges in Cheltenham is giving the usual high street shops a run for their money.
The Alycat store boasts a mix of fashion, must- have bags and designer shoes and was opened two years ago by Aly, who sources one-off designer samples, new clothing ranges and vintage pieces.
In the shop there are rails of evening dresses, shoes, coats, jackets, day dresses, and a host of handbags.
She said: “Once people find where Alycat is, they come back. I get people coming to the shop from Upton-on-Severn, Worcester, Cirencester and Oxford.”
Aly is aiming to keep the Charlton Kings area of Cheltenham full of business and other traders in the area are working together to increase their success.
Aly said: “I work a lot with The Hat Shop next door, so if someone comes in for a wedding we tell them to go there for the hat.
“Also Tia Tia opposite me caters for sizes 14 and over so I always tell people to have a look there if they can’t find what they need.”
Aly says that one of the best things about having an independent shop is being your own boss.
She said: “I can decide what stock I put in the shop instead of being told by a head office.”
In Alycat you will find an array of fashionable items such as Vivienne Westwood shoes, Alexander McQueen high heeled boots and a Ralph Lauren leather waistcoat.
Alycat is located on London Road and is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10.15am to 5pm.
