Football Legend Rewarded For His Services To The Game

Dario Gradi, the manager of Crewe, has said that he is “honoured” to have been awarded Football League Awards’ Contribution to League Football award. He has spent almost 28 years at Gresty Road after joining in 1983 as the first-team manager. The 69 year old gave up his managing position in 2007 and became the club’s technical director.

Crewe housing scheme wins excellence award

A £4.5 million project to enhance and improve the Wulvern Housing estate in Crewe has won a major award for excellence. The scheme plans to transform the Sherborne Road estate into a better place to live. It has beaten off competition from four other nationwide projects and won the Regeneration Scheme of the Year at the Housing Excellence Awards 2011.

Bentley Apprentice wins prestigious award

Daniel Butler, an 18-year-old from Crewe, has been named the North West Higher Apprentice of the Year. Daniel is a junior engineer at Bentley and is currently in the third year of his higher apprenticeship. He scooped the award despite fierce competition, and is the fourth generation of his family to have worked for Bentley.
