Village fair crowning for May Queen

There will be a packed entertainment programme at the Studham May Fair taking place on Saturday, 19th May.

The afternoon will start with the 2pm crowning of the May Queen Kelly Woodhouse.

Kelly will be helped by attendants Sofia Cowan and Amelia Davies, and chaperone Enid Runchman.

The fair will be taking place on Studham Common and will feature a lot of exciting activities and performances including pony rides, face-painting, woodcraft, maypole dancing by Studham School pupils and music from Kensworth Brass.

The fair will also include stalls selling books, cakes, plants other foods as well as stalls with gifts and assorted items.

If you fancy a game then you can try your luck at the coconut shy, super tombola or the Smashing Stall.

The masters of ceremonies at the event will be Martyn Coote and John McDougal.

One of the prizes up for grabs will be a meal for two at The Bell, Studham, a £100 prize and a May Fair cake raffle.

The event has been organised by The Friends Of Studham Church and all of the money raised will go to the St Mary’s Church Restoration Fund.

The show is sponsored by Home Counties Properties and the posters have been donated by Riverside Printers.
