Guilfest organisers say the event could be a sellout this year after confirming a line-up of big names from the music scene.
The three-day music festival, held in Guildford in July, will be headlined by Olly Murs, Bryan Ferry and Jools Holland. Other big names announced include Tulisa, Jimmy Cliff, Gary Numan, Cher Lloyd, Tim Minchin, Chic feat. Nile Rodgers, The Straits, Nouvelle Vague, Skindred, Candi Staton, Buzzcocks, The Undertones, Beth Hart, Young Guns and The Wurzels.
The event, which takes place at the town’s Stoke Park, will also include a Kidzone, Comedy Zone, Theatre Tent, Dance Tent, food and drink stalls, 12 stages, a bar, camping facilities.
Festival-goers are also encouraged to used the nearby Guildford Lido – a 50m outdoor swimming pool, and Guildford Spectrum, a leisure centre with swimming, ice skating and ten pin bowling facilities.
A spokesperson for the festival said: “The already fantastically eclectic line up at this year’s festival will balloon to an incredible 200 acts across 12 stages of great music, comedy and theatre.
“Elsewhere at the festival you can find a wealth of attractions designed to keep the whole family engaged for three sun-blissed days in the idyllic setting of Stoke Park, Guildford.
“All around the site you can find great attractions such as the hilarious Cosmic Comedy Zone, Man in the Moon Theatre tent, Farmer Giles Barndance, street theatre, delicious food and drink from around the world, enormous 150ft bar, cocktail bars and much more besides.
“This year is looking to be a sellout!”
