£3.5m lottery win has not changed couple
A Northamptonshire lottery winner has said that winning the lottery doesn’t change your life, it just makes things a bit easier. Chris Bowers and his wife Susan won £3,497,114 in July 2011 after they bought a winning ticket from their local Sainsbury’s.

Millions of TV viewers will be able to see the work of disabled staff at a Northampton sign-making company as they direct Olympic cyclists at the London 2012 games. Nordis Signs, a specialist road sign manufacturer Nordis Signs have made almost 2,000 temporary road signs to direct cyclists who are taking part in the 250km Olympic road-race.

A charitable group from a Northampton-based builders’ merchant have scaled the Express Lift Tower for local charity The Lowdown. Staff from the Travis Perkins builders’ merchant joined workers from The Lowdown and other volunteers to abseil down the lift tower. They raised £13,000 for the charity.
