Residents encouraged to close their streets

Residents are being encouraged to organise big street parties to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June. Norwich City Council has produced a street party application pack to make it easier for residents to apply for road closures during their celebrations.

Second round for Ale festival

Pubs in Norwich have been signing up for the city’s second City of Ale Festival, which organisers hope will be even bigger and better this year. A total of 21 pubs have already pledged to take part in the festival, which runs for ten days at the start of June.

Pupils’ artwork goes to thousands of homes

Two young pupils will have their artwork sent out to 16,000 homes after winning a poster competition. Grace Barrell and Ella Greenway, both 11, will have their artwork printed onto a Norwich City Council leaflet, which is sent out to thousands of homes to spread the message of gas safety.
