Talented young dancers had to keep a big secret when they found out they had made it through to the final stages of a talent show.
The young members of dance group Fear of the Unknown had to keep quiet for weeks after being told they had made it through to the semi-finals of the Sky 1 show Got to Dance.
Michelle Kelly, Jay Carr and Natalie Wilmshurst were sworn to secrecy until the show was aired at the end of January.
Kim Carr, who is 10-year-old Jay’s mum, said: “Davina McCall, who hosts the show, went to their studio to give them the good news and they were ecstatic.
“There was a lot of cheering and crying because they were so pleased to be through.
“They’ve been working really hard on their routine for the semi-finals and another one for the final if they get that far.”
Jay and Michelle, 17, from Paisley, have both made it through to the finals of the show before with their previous act The Box.
The show’s live final is due to take place in March and the winner will receive £250,000.
Fear of the Unknown, who impressed the Got to Dance judges with an Avatar-inspired theatrical dance routine, have been training hard and appearing at local venues. They are also being backed by Paisley football team St Mirren and have appeared in a match programme.
The team were even been too busy in the studio to watch the show being aired on television.
