Bristol and Plymouth possibilities for the De Vere Group

The De Vere Group is looking to expand its portfolio with new hotels in Plymouth and Bristol. The hotel group, which includes De Vere Hotels and De Vere Village Urban Resorts, has announced that they are planning on developing six to eight new properties over the next three years.

6,500 more NHS dental places since the start the year

6,500 extra NHS dental places have been created in Plymouth since the start of 2012. It is thought that the surge in extra places is due to graduates of the Peninsula school staying in the city and becoming dentists in Plymouth after qualifying.

Solicitors celebrate 200 years

Wolferstans Solicitors in Plymouth have reached an extraordinary landmark; their 200 year anniversary. The firm was established by Samuel Kelly in 1812 at a time when Plymouth was about to have their biggest population boom.

Better L-driver pass rates in West Country

Drivers taking their test in the Westcountry have a better chance of passing their test than those in the rest of the UK. Driving Standards Agency (DSA) figures for 2011 show that more than half of all practical driving tests taken at examination centres in Devon and Cornwall were passed.
