Male staff at Tesco’s in nearby Brixham braved a leg wax to help raise money for a patient suffering from cancer.
Jimmy Haywood, who used to work at another branch of the supermarket giant, is suffering from Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Deputy store manager Mark Grant along with co-workers Ali Gelo and George Harris had their legs waxed by other staff members and “by the expressions on their faces it looked very painful” according to Shop assistant Lesley Giles.
The store contributed £701 to the supermarket chain’s total of a massive £80,000 for Mr. Haywood.
The money is going towards a new treatment that is sadly not currently available on the NHS.
