“My Place” is the new skate park in Paignton designed in part by 6 young local people. Regional director of contractors ‘Interserve’, Richard Ellis said from the beginning they had a very clear directive from Torbay Council about involving young people in the project.

Children get a Lesson in Parkour

19 year old Kyle Perkins has been teaching Parkour to school children from across Devon and visited Dartington primary schools to share his extraordinary skills. Parkour is also known as “free running” and consists of dare devil antics like jumping from building to building or balancing on railings.

Local Choir Celebrates Landmark Birthday

Choir 86, Torbay’s local choir, is celebrating its 25th birthday this year after a quarter of a century of sharing their voices with the town. To celebrate, 60 past and present members of the Choir, along with their friends and family, got together at the Riviera Centre in Torquay to look back at the group’s past.

A Close Shave for Charity

Male staff at Tesco’s in nearby Brixham braved a leg wax to help raise money for a patient suffering from cancer. Jimmy Haywood, who used to work at another branch of the supermarket giant, is suffering from Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
