A new music event that will take place at multiple venues across Falmouth and Penry is coming to Cornwall. The MOJO festival will include performances from DJs and local artists in 10 different venues.
Some of the artists performing include electro indie kids Chinese Sky Candy who will be performing with AUX innocent (formerly The Spires) at The Underground. AUX innocent were the winners of the FIB Bennacisim battle of the bands. The event will be two days long.
Other highlights of the festival include Ellen and the Ecscapades at Miss Peapods, a Tall Ships show in Blackdog Barbers, Carpet Face and Audible 1 at Toast and Traktor from Native Instruments putting on DJ workshops in Blackdog Barbers.
As part of the MOJO Festival, University College Falmouth and the Cornwall Music Forum will offer a day of music industry discussion networking at their Performance Centre. This free event for musicians, music businesses, venues and promoters will also include a live music showcase that is a must see for anyone involved in the vibrant South West music scene.
Fish Factory Art Space on Falmouth Wharves will host the closing festival party where some of Falmouth’s best new musical names will perform.
Many of the shows are free while others are ticketed and some require wristbands. Visit www.mojofestival.net for more details.
