Why didn’t I think of that?

Wow, what a fantastic idea – full English breakfast in a slow cooker – set up before you go to bed and ready the next morning.

This genius idea hit the headlines when it was shared recently on a Facebook page and received (understandably) a massive positive response.

Sonia Cheetham, 36, from Norfolk, came up with the idea to place all the ingredients of a full English breakfast in the slow cooker. She was trying to save time at the weekends.

The scrambled egg mix, baked beans, mushrooms and tomatoes are placed in cups and the sausages and bacon are placed beside them. By the time you wake up in the morning, the ingredients are perfectly cooked and because they have been separated, you don’t just end up with a breakfast mush!

The idea has been shared by tens of thousands of people – and for good reason. It definitely sums up feelings of ‘why didn’t I think of that?’

The slow cooker revolution has been gradually building in the UK in recent years.

In fact, I think I am one of the very few people left in the UK who hasn’t actually got one yet. All my friends and family members rave about them and cook everything from curries to roast dinners in them. Apparently, you can even cook a steamed pudding in them. However, I think this breakfast idea might just be the one to persuade me!
