A dentist in Bournemouth is raising money to support a little boy from St Leonards by cycling from London to Paris.
44 year old Andy Thomas is aiming to raise £3,500 for DEBRA, a charity that works on behalf of people with rare genetic conditions such as Mason White. Mason suffers from Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a condition that causes his skin to blister at the slightest touch.
Rachel, Andy’s wife, first heard about Mason’s condition from his Mum Kerry who teaches her daughter to dance.
Andy said: “It’s a three-day cycle at approximately 100 miles per day with around 450 riders.
“My wife Rachel told me about it. She said there were some places on a London to Paris ride for DEBRA, so I applied.
“We’re well on the way to raising the money.
“I’m a dentist and my patients have all been chipping in.”
