Bartellas

Indulge your taste buds at Bartellas Restaurant and Bar amid the calm of the Essex countryside. Bartellas offers sterling continental and British cuisine with fresh interpretations of traditional flavours. The restaurant is located amid the rolling meadows and homes of Furze Hill, on Ivy Barns Road, just off the A12 at Chelmsford. The Handley Green Farm Cottage and the Furness Farm are just a short walk from the restaurant.

Cuisine & Wine

Bartellas offers a blend of traditional continental dishes such as a Tuscan slow-braised lamb with butterbeans, and piquillo peppers and pasta. The chef’s soup of the day with warm rolls is a particular favourite, while the Rib-eye steak is well appreciated by the restaurant’s regulars and visitors. Side orders are available and a special children’s menu caters to their needs.

The well-stocked wine cellar at Bartellas boasts vintages from Italy, Spain, France and South America including a Sauvignon Blanc from Chile. Online reservations are a useful feature offered by the restaurant and the Bartellas membership and reward card recognises frequent customers, offering a 10% discount on a customer’s bill. Bartellas is also a good venue for special gatherings such as birthdays, reunions and anniversaries. These are conducted in a conservatory that seats about 70 people.

Bartellas is a restaurant with a wholesome charm and stylish ambience, offering high quality cuisine to its guests, located away from the bustle of the main town.
