A mini music festival is being organised in Stafford to entertain people on their way to the bigger V Festival. The free outdoor concert is being set up to keep music lovers entertained as they wait for bus connections to and from the nearby V Festival in Weston Park, Weston-under-Lizard. Local bands and musicians will play at the event.

Young and talented musicians from all over Staffordshire flocked to Stafford’s Gatehouse Theatre to compete in a battle of the bands. The annual Staffordshire Rocks competition came to a head at the theatre, when Madeley band Nuclear Safari was crowned Band of the Year 2011.
