What's Happening in Broxbourne blog

Youth Website

Young people in Broxbourne are never short of ideas for things to do thanks to a council website dedicated to them.

The Broxbourne Borough Council youth website is a popular tool for young people in the region as it offers information on the council’s youth services and more. It is aimed at residents aged between 11 and 19.

The site is split into 12 sections: advice and volunteering; art sessions; club nights; courses and workshops; dance and theatre; day trips; events calendar; live music and cinema; outdoor activities and youth facilities; sports; street work; youth projects and clubs.

Among the facilities listed on the site is a special club night for young people. The X-plosion Club Nights are organised at Wolsey Hall, in Cheshunt, for children in school years 7, 8 and 9.

Guest DJs play house, garage, R&B and chart topping music at the Friday night events, which aim to give young people a chance to party in a safe environment.

The advice section of the website gives advice about parenting courses for young mums and dads, advice about homelessness, information about The Prince’s Trust project and much more.

The day trip section of the site offers ideas and information on day trips for young people in the region and the events calendar lists all the activities going on in the borough.

All the youth clubs, sports facilities, art events and youth project are also on the website.

Young people can even find out what is on at the cinema each week through the cinema and live music section.
