Durham Cathedral and Castle visitor centre is finished

On June 21st the Durham Cathedral and Castle visitor centre was opened with the Durham Polyphony student choir and a photography exhibition by Andrew Heptinstall. The centre has an outdoor seating area and a ten-minute film on the history of the Castle and Cathedral. It opens on the 25th anniversary of Durham being declared a world heritage site.
