A jet setting Falkirk DJ could get the chance to spin discs in outer space.

Nick Wolanski, a 25 year old former St Mungo’s High School pupil, was the guest DJ at a private Virgin Galactic reception which was hosted by Sir Richard Branson.

His popular performance has now put him in the running for a ticket on Sir Richard Branson’s commercial space flights when they eventually take off.

Nick, who is from Grangemouth, said: “I have been asked to DJ at some future events for Sir Richard and work quite regularly with the Virgin Group. It was really inspiring meeting someone like him and I would love to be the first DJ in space.

“I’ve got a few projects on the go at the minute and I’m looking to do some work for charities.”

He is a resident DJ at Falkirk’s Voodoo Lounge and is a regular on the decks at ‘Vegas Baby’ nights at Pachas in London. He has also played at the world famous Ministry of Sound.

When Nick isn’t DJing, he’s keeping busy working as a music producer and model and regularly visits Miami and LA. He has been DJing for five years and started when his first job didn’t work out.

“I was a firefighter, but making and playing music was always my first choice so I bought a set of decks and went from there.

“My girlfriend Emma is really my inspiration and she helps me out a lot with my music.”
