Autism headteacher up for Award
Nigel Carden, headteacher at Beverley School for Autism has been nominated at this year’s North East School Awards for his “fantastic” work. Mr. Carden has been nominated as Headteacher of the Year by the mum of one of his pupils.

Miss England finalist from Middlesbrough
Elleanor Ryan, a beauty pageant winner who has recently been crowned Miss Durham will be representing Teeside in the Miss England finals this summer. 17 year old Elleanor from Middlesbrough beat 18 other hopefuls at Sedgefield Racecourse.
