Rugby Player Takes Up A Challenge

When Richard Parks was forced to retire from professional rugby due to a shoulder injury, he didn’t sit back and do nothing – he decided to climb the world’s highest mountains instead. The former Welsh international and Barbarian player took up a challenge to climb the world’s seven highest mountains in seven months, as well as reach the North Pole and the South Pole.

The Cardiff version of The Only Way Is Essex has launched online in an aim to show what makes people from the city so special. The Cardiff Born, Cardiff Bred website will show real people going about their daily lives. It will be broadcast for about 30 minutes every week online.

Cardiff Celts Are National Champions

The Cardiff Celts Wheelchair Basketball Team returned to the city as national champions. The squad returned home with two trophies after travelling to Sheffield to compete in the national finals.

Norwegian Church Reopens

The Norwegian Church in Cardiff Bay has reopened following a £500,000 revamp. The church, which operates as an arts centre, is also famous for being the place where children’s author Roald Dahl was christened.
