Her Majesty the Queen will be accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh on her visit that will either take place on Wednesday, 16th May or Thursday, 17th May. The Queen will be visiting Chester to thank the city’s people for their loyalty and support throughout her 60 year reign.

The tour began in Leicester on 8th May where the Duchess of Cambridge joined the Queen and Prince Philip.
Robin Roberts, who was speaking on behalf of the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire David Briggs, said: “As far as we are concerned the Leicester visit was a one-off. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are visiting Chester.”
Details of the Queen’s visit have not been finalized as yet but there is talk that the royal may come face to face with a 14ft version of herself.
David Pickering who is the Chairman of Chester the Giant City and deputy lieutenant of Cheshire said: “We are delighted that our Queen Elizabeth giants will be visible during this very important visit to Chester.
