Celebrities have been popping up to keep Christmas shoppers entertained at the Bluewater Shopping Centre.
Members of the public were delighted to see Peter Andre appear at the centre to launch the Christmas in New York experience.
The centre had a New York skyline installed, an ice rink, Santa’s grotto, a snow slide and a winter carousel in an aim to give members of the public a taste of the Big Apple in Kent.
Mr Andre had a quick spin on the ice rink with Dancing on Ice judge, Robin Cousins during the launch ceremony.
The pop star said: “”I think this is an incredible thing they have done. There’s something so special about New York this time of year.”
Talking about his own Christmas he said: “I’m going to spend it at this stage with all three kids, which is the ultimate Christmas.
“My New Year’s resolution is to stay positive and keep aiming high and maybe meet someone and actually settle down. You can’t ever plan it but it would be nice.”
Top TV actor, writer, producer and presenter James Corden also visited Waterstones at Bluewater to sign copies of his autobiography May I Have Your Attention Please? And TV adventurer, travel writer and actor Charley Boorman made an appearance at the centre to sign copies of his new book Extreme Frontiers: Racing Across Canada from Newfoundland to the Rockies.
The famous Coca-Cola Christmas Truck was also at the Marks and Spencer car park at the centre for a day as part of a six-week tour.
