Alex Rolton plays the cello for his future

Fans of classical music from the Beds, Bucks and Herts area are campaigning to raise £40,000 so that a young cello prodigy can have an instrument of his own. Alex Rolton has been lent the 1730 cello for a fund-raising recital at the Hockliffe Street Baptist Church and his supporters are hoping that the event will help to further his career.

Village fair crowning for May Queen

There will be a packed entertainment programme at the Studham May Fair taking place on Saturday, 19th May. The afternoon will start with the 2pm crowning of the May Queen Kelly Woodhouse. Kelly will be helped by attendants Sofia Cowan and Amelia Davies, and chaperone Enid Runchman.
