A historian from Bedfordshire was among those honoured with an MBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours list. The founder of Dunstable History and Heritage Studies, Vivienne Evans, has been recognised for her services to the community. Ms Evans has been a Dunstable local since 1960 and although it came as a “a great shock” she says that she is very grateful.

The hard working staff who provide TLC for patients on a daily basis are being given a different type of TLC at the Old Red Lion – a tender loving carvery!
