Over 500 local women took to the streets in Enfield to raise money for The Nightingale Hospice and Barnet and Chase Farm’s da Vinci robot appeal. The council backed Enfield Night Hike saw women of all ages walk the 15km The cabinet member for leisure and culture, Councillor Bambos Charalambous, joined the women to start off and said that he hoped that this would become an annual event.

Minibus stolen from from Enfield sea cadets
Sea cadets in Enfield are asking the public for help after their K-reg minibus was stolen by thieves. The minibus was used to transport the cadets to festivals, parades and displays across the South East, but it was stolen by callous thieves. The minibus was used to transport the cadets from their base in Ponders End and the theft has left the cadets “devastated”.

Durants School won the money on ITV’s People’s Jubilee Millions where they beat a pregnancy scheme in East Basildon through a public vote. He set staff the Enfield 1,000 Challenge in a bid to encourage businesses to take on apprentices and encourage young people and school leavers to take opportunities available to them.
