A school assembly was a little more rowdy than usual when former pupils turned up to show off their talent.
Local indie rock band Time of the Mouth got a taste of fame when they played to an excited audience at the King Charles I School.
The up-and-coming three-piece band were faced with a packed school hall of fans when they walked on stage to play some of their original songs and some popular cover versions such as Arctic Monkeys song I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor.
The band is made up of former pupils Chris Jones (singer/guitarist) and James Chatfield (bassist) as well as Carl Browne (drummer).
During the concert the band were joined on stage by Chris’s sister Jaimee, who is still a pupil at the school.
Chris Gibson, leader of the Lower School at King Charles I, said: “It was a real treat for the pupils. Both the band and Jaimee are very talented and I am sure that they will go a long way.”
Time of the Mouth were formed in 2010 and have already been making a big impression on the local music scene.
They played at Kidderminster music festival Loaded last year and are already lined up to play at the Worcester Music Festival this August.
The boys have also played a live session on BBC local radio and have attracted some interest from local promoters and record labels.
They are described as a mix of rock, indie, punk and reggae.
