Falcon’s hero is traffic warden
Lee Gallagher, a traffic warden from the Wirral, became an unlikely hero when he rescued a distressed peregrine falcon. The traffic warden and keen bird enthusiast was patrolling in Merseyside during a torrential downpour when he spotted the bird in the middle of the road. He approached the bird and discovered that it was dazed and needed help.

Some lucky hens are being given chance for a new healthy and happy life thanks to not-for-profit Wigan based group Lucky Hens Rescue. The group is helping to find new homes for ex-battery hens so that they can become pets for families. Lucky Hens Rescue is focused on the welfare of former laying hens and is looking for members of the public who can give the birds a home.
