Awards handed out

Volunteers and sporting champions have been awarded in two glittering ceremonies in the borough. The Procter & Gamble Surrey Youth Games (PGSYG) and Borough Sports Awards took place in the Harlequin Theatre, Redhill, to celebrate the achievements of sports people and clubs in the area. Awards were given out for success at both regional and national level. Theatre stages eco art awards

Young eco-friendly artists have been awarded for their work at a special ceremony. The Eco Art Awards were held at the Harlequin Theatre, in Redhill, to celebrate the talents of pupils from across the borough. Primary and infant school pupils had been invited to take part in the Eco Art competition, organised by Reigate and Banstead Borough Council and Horley Town Council.

Staff thanked for providing water

Water company workers have been thanked for their years of service with a special lunch dedicated to them. Sutton and East Surrey Water held the thank you event for five men for their years of commitment to the company. The men were told their hard work and skills had ensured high quality tap water for generations of Surrey families and businesses.
