Royal Academy of Music student Scarlet raising money for fees

A student who has always dreamed of starring in a West End musical is trying to earn money for her education by starring on the Southborough stage where she made her theatrical debut. 22-year-old Meghan Rayner hopes that a one-night show at the Royal Victoria Hall will help pay her £12,000 tuition fees. She first danced on the stage at the venue as a 6-year-old in a production of Snow White.

Tonbridge teen wears skirt she wore for first day at final exam

When she bought her daughter’s first school skirt in August 2006, Natalie Snuggs presumed that she would have to buy a few more skirts over the years for her daughter. A local fitness instructor has won a competition to be the ‘face’ of Tunbridge Wells and is now featured on billboards throughout the town. Sarah Domoney has been awarded the title Local Legend for recognition of her impact in the town.

Fiesta is a huge hit again

The hugely popular Jarvis Brook Juniors FC annual Football Fiesta saw 144 boys’ and girls’ football teams from across Sussex, Surrey and Kent take part. All the teams played very well and showed excellent sportsmanship and fair play throughout. This year was the first time that Sunday afternoon was dedicated to girls’ football and the semi finals and finals were very exciting as they went all the way to penalties.
