Pupils Send Art To Prisoners
Schoolchildren are sending their art to prisoners of conscience around the world as part of Amnesty International’s 50th anniversary. Hundreds of pupils at a Brighton School have been creating artwork to represent peace during their Festival of Learning.

Football fans are planning a heritage board to remember the former home of their beloved team. As Brighton and Hove Albion moved into the new American Express Community Stadium home, the Seagulls’ supporters did not want to turn their backs on the Goldstone Ground in Old Shoreham Road, Hove.

Pupils from 10 schools joined forces to build a replica Neolithic chalk house. The children had to step back in time to build the house in exactly the same way as it would have been built 5,000 years ago. The project took place in the grounds of Moulsecoomb Primary School in The Highway, Brighton, but was worked on by pupils from all the schools in the area. It was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
