One of the leading garages in Chester is offering their customers free passes to some of the UK’s leading motorsport events as well as free car services.
Staff at Port Tyres in Ellesmere Port are offering incentives to their customers to encourage motorists to maintain regular services.
Conscientious drivers will be given a free motorsport ticket as part of a national campaign to promote the importance of an annual service which could help motorists avoid expensive repairs in the future.
The promotion, which is being run in partnership with oil manufacturer Comma Oil, will offer tickets to motorsport events throughout the country including the British Touring Car Championship, FIA Formula Two and British Superbike Championship.
Any motorists who are not fans of motorsport will be entered into a prize draw where they could win one of 20 goodie bags worth £100 each.
Craig Warburton, who owns the garage said: “With fuel costs rising, many motorists are feeling the pinch, but skipping your annual car service can be a costly mistake.
“Not having all the essentials on your car checked once a year could result in expensive repair work later on, so this is why we’re rewarding conscientious drivers with a free motorsport ticket and we want to give away as many tickets as possible.”
Mr Warburton added: “Continually driving with a low oil level can seriously damage your engine. At worst it could even result in a complete engine rebuild, which will typically cost £1,300.
“Local drivers can bring their car to us and we’ll check the level and condition of their oil for free. If we need to, we will even top it up.”
