Three youngsters from Belmont School Community Arts College in Durham have achieved extraordinary results in a regional championship held in Gateshead International Stadium.
Jonny Wilkinson, Abbey Anderson and Danny Baker all won their respective events and Jonny then went on to win gold in another event.They were presented with their medals and got to meet Paralympic Champion, Hazel Robson.
Their times in their events allowed them to qualify for the national championship in July and they are all waiting to see whether they have been chosen to represent the North East in the competition due to be held in Preston.
