Big task for tiger pair
A pair of rare tigers at West Midland Safari Park have the enormous task of trying to save their species. The two Sumatran tigers are members of a rare and endangered species, and staff at the park are hoping they will breed.It is thought there are no more than 400 Sumatran tigers left in the wild today, which means there is a real possibility of them facing extinction by the end of the decade.

Slurping was the order of the day when hundreds of bowls of soup were dished up during a harvest festival. Residents went soup crazy during the annual Harvest Fair in Bewdley, and more than 600 portions had to be served.

Football coach Lucy Savage has won a top award for her commitment to the game at grassroots level. Lucy, community sports coach for Wyre Forest District Council, has won the FA McDonald’s Community Award title for Coach of the Year for Worcestershire.She was given the prize for her dedication to getting children of all abilities to take part in the game and for encouraging girls and women to enjoy the sport.
