Plans to rejuvenate Beatles Liverpool tourist destination

Liverpool’s Cavern Quarter is going to be revamped and business owners in the area are going to their bit to improve the world-famous district.

Business and property owners in the renowned home of Mersybeat have met to discuss and share ideas about what they can do to make the area more attractive.

The Cavern Quarter includes Mathew Street, one of Liverpool’s key tourist attractions and focuses on the history of the Beatles.

The group who are hoping to improve the area are aiming to get back to a time when the Cavern Quarter was booming.

Liverpool Vision’s area investment manager, Matt Biagetti, said: “The Cavern Quarter is top of the tourists’ must-see Liverpool sights and we need to make more of its appeal, its heritage, while improving its look.

“Liverpool Vision helps businesses come together, share expertise and work collaboratively, whether they are restaurants, shops, offices, or major cultural or leisure destinations.

“By working together we believe we can make the Cavern Quarter the place it deserves to be.”

The meeting for the Cavern Quarter Stakeholders Group was held at Flanagan’s pub in Mathew Street.
