Two teenage business-savvy brothers from Cippenham are planning on tapping into the growing social network market by launching their own ‘MonkeyLeeks’ website.
Hamza and Hassan Malik, 14 and 13, were given £500 each by their Dad that they were told to spend however they liked, and the conscientious teens decided to invest in their own website.
They used the money to pay a website designer to develop their ideas and turn them into a website. Since the launch, nearly 40 people have signed up as members.
“We’re trying to get it used all over the UK and hopefully maybe even get some offers on it,” Hamza said.
The brothers have described the website as a light hearted version of news leaks site WikiLeaks. Members can submit links to videos and stories that they have found online and there is also a social networking facility so that members can interact with each other.
