Giving Nurses A Bit of TLC

Nurses are being offered a little thank you from a Houghton Regis restaurant for all of their hard work. The hard working staff who provide TLC for patients on a daily basis are being given a different type of TLC at the Old Red Lion – a tender loving carvery!

The restaurant on Bedford Road is offering a free carvery meal to all nurses over the age of 18. The tasty carveries will be available from Monday 9th to Saturday 14th January.

The Crown Carveries restaurant decided to give the nurses a treat after they found out that 88,000 nurses worked on Christmas Day in 2010. That means that 22% of nurses don’t get to spend their Christmas with their loved ones.

The restaurant manager, Sarah Webster, decided to reward these unsung heroes: “This is just a small festive gift from us to all our local nursing angels.”

Any nurses wishing to take advantage of this carvery offer just need to go to or from Monday 9th January and download the ‘free carvery meal’ voucher.

Every nurse that shows their voucher and ID card between Monday 9th to Saturday 14th January is entitled to one free carvery.
