Baring Almost All for Charity

A group of 11 friends from the Peterborough and Northamptonshire areas have stripped down to almost nothing in a charity farming calendar to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.

The girls, including Sam Riddington (19) and Chesca Martin (20) from the Peterborough area all hail from farming backgrounds.

The idea for the calendar came from Alex Paske, who also features in the risqué calendar. A close friend of Alex suffers from the debilitating disorder, so muscular dystrophy is a cause close to her heart.

Although the notion of posing for a naked calendar was initially taken as a joke, the idea took hold and the girls decided to go ahead with their plans.

The 2012 calendar sees the girls in a variety of outdoor poses. In some, the girls pose with a tractor whereas other shots feature the models taking part in activities such as horse riding and fishing.

The tasteful photographs are in black and white with the exception of the brightly coloured Union Jack flag shorts worn by the girls to protect their modesty and to leave a little to the imagination.

Fundraising manager for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, Charlotte Allen, hailed the girls for the bravest fundraising effort the charity has ever seen. It is hoped that sales of the calendar will reach £3000.

The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is a charitable organization working in Peterborough and across the UK to find successful treatment and cures for muscular dystrophy and other related muscle wasting diseases. There are 70,000 sufferers in the UK, many of whom will not survive until adulthood.
