Green light for Printworks proposals
It is hoped that plans to convert a former printers in Preston into an upmarket office complex will fill a gap in the town’s property market. Philip Thornton, Etc Urban architect who is working on the project, has said that the transformation of the Lambert Brothers printworks on Glovers’ Court, would attract businesses into the city centre.

A new dentists in Preston will open at the University of Central Lancashire’s (UCLan) campus in the town. The UCLan Dental Clinic (UDC) will provide dental services for students, staff and the wider Lancashire and South Lakes community.

Rising fuel prices are having a knock-on effect for businesses across Preston. Prices for city cabs have had to be increased and other companies are struggling to maintain profits due to the extra fuel costs. The majority have businesses have no other alternative but to pay for the higher prices as their companies rely on the fuel.
