Three models from the Hartlepool College of Further Education made a college workshop photo-shoot even more glamorous as they struck some poses for hairdressing students.
Danielle Leighton, Abbey Smith and Kay Whitelock modeled in the college’s aerospace engineering hangar and the engineering workshop.
The National Hairdressers’ Federation (NHF) Red Rose Championships for budding hairdressers in Preston will take place on Sunday 17th February. Many Level 2 and 3 hairdressing students from the Stockton Street College will be competing in the contest.
One of the awards at the competition is for a photo that would suit the cover of a fashion magazine and that is the category that Danielle, Abbey and Kay were modeling for. Their hair was done by Level 3 hairdressing students Annette Wilkinson, Kirsty Rumble and Emma Storey and their make-up was completed by Level 3 BTEC make-up for performers students Melissa Pasa and Allison Raw.
The students worked together to create looks for the photo-shoot and the pictures were taken by college photographer Gary Kester who took photos in and around a Rolls-Royce engine, aeroplane and helicopter.
The competition will include various style challenges including off-the-wall blow drying, cover girl and bridal styles.
Hairdressing course tutor Mandy Sisson said: “We’re really delighted the girls are taking part in the competition and we wish them all the best of luck.
“They’ve all worked really hard.”
