Charity haircut to help Katy cause

Kindhearted teenager Izzy Evans has had her long hair cut to raise money for the Katy Holmes Trust. 14 year old Izzy, a Year 10 pupil at Archbishop Temple CE High School, took the brave decision to have her long hair cut short in memory of 10-year-old Katy Holmes who died due to an inoperable brain tumour in January 2011.

Offices and workplaces throughout the city were full of people lounging in their onesies; all in the name of charity. Everyone from students to solicitors in Preston donned their onesies to raise money for the Space Centre.

Pupils awarded for business skills

Budding young business men and accountants in Preston were among the top 10 highest scorers in a prestigious national competition. The Lancaster Royal Grammar School Business and Management students were some of the top entrants in the competition for schools run by chartered accountants Ernst and Young.
