Salisbury council hosted a ceremony celebrating the achievements of some of the city’s most gifted gardeners. Prizes were awarded by the mayor of Salisbury, John Abbott, for a wide range of categories. One of the categories was the ever popular Scarecrow Contest.
Salisbury has some of the most beautiful allotments in the entire country and each of the eleven allotment sites provide their own awards.
Some of the city’s most successful companies also competed in the event for their garden buildings and decorations.
The event took place in the city’s Guildhall and was considered a big success by both the hosts and everyone who attended.
