Little Princess Trust receives donation from teenager

A charitable schoolgirl from St Albans has cut off her long hair so that it can be made into a wig for someone suffering from cancer.

Lois Bosatta donated her long locks to the Little Princess Trust, a charity which provides real hair wigs to children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatments.

Lois, a pupil at St Albans High School, said: “My hair will grow back but theirs won’t.

“I don’t mind making a small sacrifice for someone who will really appreciate it.

“There is nothing else that would have motivated me to have it cut.”

17 year old Lois decided to get her hair cut off after she read an article about a seven her old who lost her chair due to cancer.

She has been doing all that she can to support the charity and has raised money and awareness amongst her friends and family.

She said: “I have had a lot of support – my mum has always been behind it.

“A lot of people have said that it is a really interesting thing to do.”

Lois is collecting money after cutting off her waist length hair. She is hoping that she can raise £1,000 for the charity.

Lois is very happy with the money that she has raised and her new short bob style hairstyle.

She said: “Although I really liked my long hair it did get in the way.

“This is just really free and it will be nice in the summer.”
