History lesson in town centre

Visitors to Sutton town centre can now enjoy a quick history lesson thanks to a new plaque. The plaque, in Trinity Square, has been set up to explain stories behind a mosaic of historic images that has been in the town since 1994. The mosaic, opposite the Waterstone’s bookshop, contains 19 intricate panels illustrating relevant stories in the town’s rich history, but many people did not know anything about each of the pictures.
