It was a dream come true for seven-year-old James Bradley when he was visited by a British Rally Championship driver.
Driver Louise Cook paid a visit to the Cheam youngster to unveil his newly decorated rally-themed bedroom after he won a national competition.
James, a big racing fan, also got to sit behind the wheel of the leading female rally driver’s Fiesta ST car.
The youngster beat over 1,800 entrants in a competition by correctly answering a rally car quiz. His prize was a full rally-themed makeover for his bedroom, including a car-shaped bed and go-faster striped red, white and blue walls. The competition was run by Dulux Trade, the official sponsor of the 2011 MSA British Rally Championship.
James said: “The prize was brilliant. Not many people get a real rally driver visiting their house – I feel really lucky.
“My new room is amazing too – the racing car bed is definitely my favourite part, I can’t wait to show all my friends.”
As James shares his bedroom with his older sister, the room was decorated in a style that would appeal to both siblings. So half of the room was painted in a high octane design and the rest was styled in a Vivienne Westwood Union Jack look.
James Green, communications manager at Dulux Trade, said: “Dulux Trade has been a proud sponsor of the British Rally Championship for two years now, and we wanted to run a competition especially for its younger fans and potential stars of the future.
“We’re glad that James and his sister love their new bedroom, and are grateful for Louise’s support in making the prize extra special.”
