A teenager who is passionate about Maths is hoping that her skills will help her win a national competition. 15 year old Shannon Bellworthy, who hopes to work as a stockbroker when she is older, has been selected as a semi-finalist at the Miss Teen Great Britain contest.

16 students have had their devotion to their lessons pay off as they were treated to a slap-up breakfast at the Mickleover Court Hotel for their 100% attendance. The year 11 pupils from Littleover Community School were taken to breakfast by head teacher Ash Venkatesh to celebrate their achievement of not missing a day of school since year 7.
